Events At WCC 2017

After the Barcelona PokerStars Tournament, those who wish to know which poker tournament event to follow can choose to follow the World Cup of Cards.


This is now on at the Playground Poker Club located close to Montreal. The contest will continue till 13th of September. This year’s edition of this contest having started already, there is much attention being drawn to it, especially the guaranteed prize pool money being a lump sum, $4, 500, 000. Three Players Got $1 Million Each On Day 2 SHRB

On the second day of event Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB), 13 players returned, the event was a $100,000 buy-in tournament and it was hosted in Las Vegas by Aria Poker.


This week, this was the fourth high roller event at Aria, following up the tournament of $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000. All of them were lead-ups to the buy-in Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB), which started on Sunday afternoon and will till June 1.

A total of 54 players participated in the event and generated $5,292,000 prize pool at Aria on Friday. A veer of German poker pros were at the event and a few of them made up to the final table as well. Finally, among them two players Steffen Sontheimer and Christian Christner agreed to a deal of three-handed with pro from America Ben Tollerene and that secured over $1 million to each. (more…)

The 2009 World Series of Poker witnessed one of the greatest finals when 21-year-old Joe Cada clashed against the wily 46-year-old Darvin Moon for the WSOP title.


The final battle was an even race between the two for the most part of the race and eventually Joe Cada; a college dropout had the last laugh. He went on to pocket $8.55 million. This WSOP final is still talked about by the poker fans and enthusiasts as it was a neck and neck race and went all the way down to the wire. All the fans of poker are aware of the 2009 WSOP final table contest in Las Vegas.

Cada said after winning the 2009 WSOP that Moon was a legend and to topple him was a big achievement. He said that Moon showed his class and his poker knowledge for the most part of the game and gave him a really tough fight.
